P-J managed to make a quiet exit this morning, so as to leave his eager farm hand still in dreamland! Good thing too, because we needed all the time we had to get ready for our trip to Bethany Birches Camp in Plymouth - about 1 hour drive away.
We arrived in good time, albeit a little shaky from our hair-raising drive up the dirt road. Jorja was a little disappointed that we couldn't stay for the BBQ lunch, but she and Ethan both enjoyed an early (and short) Sunday afternoon nap on the road home and were awake to see the group of Harley's pass us on the Interstate before we turned off. These bikers had both du Plessis men almost in tears from excitement!
Jorja and P-J prepared home made pizza for lunch, which meant we ate a litte bit later than we'd hoped - but it was a better value for money and tasted much, much better than the store!

Since the kids had already had their nap, P-J and I just imagined what it would be like to have a Sunday snooze, and instead, sat with them in the lounge while they watched The Fox and The Hound - a new found favourite, now that dogs, foxes, chickens and cows are a little closer to home.
Supper was a Summer treat - braai-ed chicken, raw veggies, fresh fruit and baked bread from the left over pizza dough. As if P-J wasn't tired enough from the weekend's activities, he then pulled the kids around a makeshift circuit on a sled...
