Summer Sizzle

This weekend past, we made the most of the glorious Summer weather! See Jorja's take on it - A refreshing swim session Her best Shaka Khan impersonation And enough rest to get going again soon after!

The thirty-four week shuffle

If you aren't keen on home movies of movement from the womb, then give this one a miss! Soon these movements will be limited...and soon after, they will cease altogether. So this is a special memory! Eventually, the glass just toppled over - of course, after I'd stopped recording!

Wash away Tuesday Blues with cool, fresh dew!

In these extremely hot weather conditions, I find myself hogging the aircon control in the office. By the end of the day, I know that I'll have a stuffy nose and sinus headache for my efforts! So sitting here today feeling almost flu-ish but not daring to go outside until this evening, I am feeling quite sorry for myself... ...Add to that some general tiredness, tight-fitting clothes, stiff joints, swollen toes (have made a comeback) and the busiest time of the Cycle Tour year and I am just a bag full of smiles! Micah du Plessis was born in Vermont, USA just after 8pm on Wednesday 11 January 2012. He's here! Dad, Mom, Big Brother Matty and Micah all doing well. What an excellent way to start the day!   We are so grateful for Micah's safe arrival and the successful surgery. We are particularly grateful that despite the distance, both sets of Grandparents were able to share in this special day as he arrived and thanks to modern technology, we were able to stay in touch with them through this exciting time.

Happy New Year

We're at the end of the first week of 2012... My diary is still too fresh to turn the pages properly! In the last week of 2011 I * finally managed to cover our bed base so that it matches our headboard. Yay me! Special thanks to Andel, Robyn and Michelle (who flew in all the way from Korea for the event) - * I use the term "I" loosely, because I had very little to do with the measuring, cutting, stapling and folding. I served the juice afterwards ! Perhaps this has to do with the fact that this week we are celebrating being 30 weeks into our pregnancy and feeling a little bit like this: I enjoyed two weeks at home over the Festive Season and I suffered very little discomfort, to be fair. Love us or hate us for it, but the Summer weather came to Town and let's just say that I'm saved of the embarrassment of the sunburn on just my ankles...because I can't really see them! And now, as the visitors return to their home cities, we report b
