A routine pregnancy

In what seems like 'no time at all' we've reached the point of weekly check ups, odd sleeping hours and permanently swollen ankles... My ticker (how physiological does that sound?) says that our duPie is about 50cm long now, weighing around 3kg and almost ready for his or her arrival. My doctor had a good laugh at my last check up, telling me that we weren't likely to find anything on the lighter side of the 3kg mark, this time around! (And I am pretty sure that I believe him...) Looking back over the last 36 weeks, I discovered that very early on in the process, this had to become a 'routine pregnancy'. By that term I'm not referring to the hum-drum happenings of prenatal practises, but rather, that in order to cope with a growing belly, a heap of housework, peak season at work and a toddler's tricks...I had to create a routine.
