This post is late because last night, my slightly obsessive need to be uniformed in travel blog publishing was outweighed by the prompting to lay a little extra longer as the kids fell asleep. And of course, once you've made that decision, it's almost impossible to come back from it! Something's gotta give.
We were up earlier than usual because we were going with P-J to the farm in the morning. We weren't assigned any specific task for the day (you may have guessed that a 5 year old and 2 year old are not your average, controllable, predictable farm-hand) but there's always something to do, plus, a special visitor to the farm was going to administer AI to 4 of the cows!
Back home again by 12pm, P-J cooked up some delicious blueberry pancakes for us to enjoy as second breakfast - come lunch. Ethan opted for straight up egg - his new favourite meal. We weren't complaining since it meant more pancake for us!
I worked a few arm and back muscles helping to move some furniture from the one apartment to a mobile home while the kids took a nap. I may not be farm strong, but I can play house-house! More thunderstorms later in the afternoon had us cooped up inside for a bit. I had some tea, just to reconnect with the cold friends and family in Cape Town ;) and by early evening, the sun came through again.
