It's late on a Friday night, on this our eightieth day in Vermont. The kids are both still awake but I think I'll quickly finish posting this entry - that's if the internet connection will co-operate as well as the two youngsters (peeking out at me from under the covers in my bed) are! Admittedly, some past blogging conditions have been far less ideal and we've survived.
Never mind. That's me resigning to a photo-less post until I can add some tomorrow...
But talk about enjoying a positive easing into this weekend -
We spent the day tucked away in the comfort of our apartment; reading, cooking, cleaning, surfing, Skyping, washing and watching movies. What better way to escape the wind chill factor?
When P-J returned after his usual farm chores plus Moo-ving day, we 'celebrated' with a communal siesta time from 3.30pm - 5.30pm which was followed by our weekly stop for groceries albeit in a still sleepy state. On Mom's menu tonight was DIY cheese, ham and tomato roll then chocolate cake and ice cream. (It's a bit of give and take you see?)
So while I realise that I need to get the kids to bed soon, I'm relishing the quiet and very chilled out vibe that is still permeating through the house! May this be the theme for the rest of the weekend...
