It was a full day, but not to worry because a blog entry using just one hand...is a short one!
We head for the suburb of Florida just after lunch, in search of Gallerias Pacifico - a mall that we'd read about on a bus stop sign post, in passing. As we got closer to the mall, the crowds grew. The roads close to us were empty, so it was a relief to see that there were some people left in Buenos Aires for the Easter weekend!
There was the occasional drizzle, but nothing to run back home again for. It was such a relief experiencing some cooler weather. The mall itself was very posh - Waterfront style stores - and the paintings on the ceilings were grand, but of naked people, hence no pictures of that venue!
We spent a while in the area, making our way past the Methodist Church on Avenida Corrientes, where we meet the bus on a Sunday.
We walked through the 'Gardens' outside La Casa Rosada and there was a march in process as locals paid tribute to fallen soldiers of the Falkland War. This National holiday is called Malvinas Day.
Hearing the Church bells ring definitely made us miss home a bit more. P-J was telling Jorja the story of Good Friday and I watched closely as he sowed seeds into her life. Her interest peaked even more when he started talking about the pickled fish and hot cross buns!
