Today marks 7 days in Buenos Aires, and to celebrate our 1st week in a foreign country, Jorja and I set out in search of a park. The first thing to note is that the parks here aren't necessarily play places. So while there is plenty of green grass on offer, there ain't a swing in sight! The second thing to note is that the city council has placed these parks right next to each other, like in a strip, to make it easier for us tourists to locate, I guess!
The manicured lawns - I should call them, rather - are beautiful! Moms in prams are scarce, but today it didn't matter because Jorja was asleep by the time we arrived at the park. The parks situated closer to the shopping centres and schools will probably be a better bet for kiddie company for Jorja. There also seems to be a lot of kissing done on the park benches of these particular ones, so perhaps the parks we visited were for the adults only ;)
I know that Jorja would appreciate meeting other children, so we hope to get to some play parks over the weekend.
