What a long day we've had! And just as I was making my way to the pc for this entry, Jorja woke up. After this busy day she was very tired and so very sad to wake up again before the new day - weren't we all?
So this will be a brief entry, just in case I need to tend to my child again soon:
We left home at 08h00 this morning to find the bus. We arrived at the meeting point with 35 minutes to spare :) and enjoyed a 40 minute bus ride to Acassuso. Being in a moving vehicle must have gotten Jorja all excited and she proved to us that she still knows how to doze off within 10 minutes of the trip. The congregation is made up of ex-pats, mostly from USA, UK and also from Asia. Being surrounded by English-speaking people was a welcoming sound and Jorja thoroughly enjoyed interacting with many children. Unfortunately, she was too young to participate in the Palm Sunday parade!
We were in for a surprise though, when on the return bus trip, we were informed that the bus driver was not going to return on the same route that we had travelled in the morning. We were dropped off in Recoleta and would've explored some more but it was already 13h45 and we needed to eat! We will return to this famous suburb soon...
After walking for a while, we realised that we were still far off from our neighbourhood and so P-J hailed a meter cab. What a treat! Within no time, we were outside our door and it didn't break the bank! (for those who know about our experience from O R Tambo to Auckland Park in 2008)
After lunch, we took a walk up the road to see some more of the Sunday Markets. The streets were packed to capacity - tango dancers, musicians, craft stalls, tea trolleys and more! P-J carried Jorja in the ABC and we were relieved that we hadn't opted to use the pram because in that traffic with those cobblestones, we may not have made it out in one piece.
Back home again and this time to stay! The house definitely looked as though we were having a weekend off, in all respects. We really just did enough to get by and so we spent some time ordering the apartment, with Jorja trailing behind us, unpacking as she went along!
It was a lovely day - the great weather made travelling and exploring a pleasure. We are just very tired now! Hopefully Jorja won't be too unhappy during the course of the night although I suspect that part of the upset is due to some new teeth pushing through. Tomorrow we're back to work week routine, but for what's left of this day we'll spend thinking about the great day past.

I can't believe how this girl smiles and poses for every picture. She's too precious!
