We've just returned to White River Junction after 12 hours in the mountains... Well, up in the higher mountains!
After our morning oats, baking a batch of peanut butter cookies and doing our first load of laundry in the Apartment, the house was smelling good and we were all set for the weekend. When P-J returned from the farm, we decided to go and overnight at Camp in Plymouth.

Some Saturday school work |
We packed 1 bag (in total) in record speed. We were almost all set to go when Ethan called out that he couldn't find his toy sheep. Only once we found the sheep, did we eventually leave.
The drive up to Camp was as beautiful as always, and being a Saturday, included the sights, sounds and smells of the Woodstock street market. It reminded us a bit of Buenos Aires!
We arrived in good time and P-J soon regretted not packing in any shorts for the trip. Well, what's a wife for, if not to be there to turn your jean pant into a shorts?! Feeling much better suited, he and Jorja started picking the first round of blueberries. We found some as big as cherries!

Around 7.30pm we started the quick campfire to braai our dinner meat. It's easy to lose track of time in the quiet and majestic mountains up there.

After dinner, we walked just a little further down the dirt road to Bethany Birches Camp, where the camp leaders and local community were celebrating the end of the Summer camp season and a '
Throw Down, Hoe Down' - tearing down the old pavilion to make way for the new $1.8million project. We arrived just in time for Jorja to catch the last square dance to a live band... Can you just picture her expression when she was asked to come and join in?

Jorja and Marsha - the neighbour |
We walked back to the cabin by camera flash and phone light and enjoyed fresh peaches and ice cream for dessert before heading to our beds for the night. But first, of course, Jorja would ask that we play dress up with the dolls (first time!) and Ethan would insist that we find all the animals and make space for each one of them in the bed next to him...

"All the animals must stay, Mom" |
This morning we woke up feeling well rested and just in time for pancakes and a good dose of Vitamin D. Some more playing, reading, dancing and laughing was had until we packed it all up and head back home around 3pm.
It looks amazing!
