To say that Vermont's biting bug variety has gone to town on my family, would be an understatement.
P-J is battling bites on his arms and legs, Jorja has bites on her forehead shaped like an OXO board game, Ethan had one bite almost swell his eye shut and I have bites on the top of my foot - hardly ideal! It would make for an interesting family photo.
The cooler weather seems to be keeping them at bay for now though, to our relief.
Jorja helped her Dad out on the farm in the morning - moving the cows and sheep to a new grazing spot and without too many strays...
They returned about 5 hours later - dirty, hungry and tired, so we addressed their issues in that order! By that time, Ethan and I had played in the kitchen, baking our own take on frittata: with carrots, zucchini, green beans, onion, tomato and beetroot seasoned with salt, pepper and chilli flakes and covered in the egg/milk concoction, topped with parmesan cheese.
Sadly, we didn't get a photo of it to share here, but I believe that someone thought it was a cupcake (and there aren't any left today) so it must've been good enough to eat.
Not to be outdone wink wink, P-J prepared some Pork tenderloin, Beef short ribs and Veal for dinner.
