The last 48 hours have been hectic...and it has left us feeling exhausted! I thought it would be safer to compose this blog now, before supper, just in case we all passed out soon after!
So P-J had a luncheon yesterday, followed by the much anticipated (and rained out on more than one occasion) Asado. He says that he had such a good time preparing the foods and graafing non-stop for 15 hours! He spent so much time on his feet that the tread on his old-faithful shoes disappeared, and met the bin this morning!
Jorja and I stayed indoors for the morning and set out to meet P-J after 14h00. He was delayed a little bit, so we walked down some of the less-travelled streets until we met up with him. By 16h00 we were back out towards Puerto Madero with Lydia and Sinden - the family that we met at church on Sunday. The two kiddies had a blast playing in the sand (especially) and meeting another little one, Manuelito. His dad wanted to know if it's a South African-thing to play barefoot! What a pleasure to enjoy adult conversation and see Jorja at play with the other children!
We walked back home in the dusk - a first for us since we arrived in Buenos Aires. The city takes on a whole new look under lights, and it's beautiful. We passed another Asado underway at a restaurant and by the time we arrived home now we were exhausted! One thing is for sure though: it was a great day!
